Frequently Asked Questions
WHAT IS COACHING?
Coaching is partnering with client in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential. As a professional coach, I work with you to find answers, rather than act as an expert who provides them. I help move you from problem focused to solution focused. I hold you accountable and help you to hold yourself accountable.

HOW IS COACHING DIFFERENT FROM THERAPY?
Therapists bring you from troubled to functional. Coaches take you from functional to optimal.
A therapist's typical functions are to help clients fix problems, overcome past trauma or help manage mental illness. Coaches do not work with mental illness or spend much time on past trauma. As your coach, I focus on solutions. The past is may be used as a growing/learning tool, but only as it pertains to your current situation. Coaching often picks up where therapy leaves off.

HOW LONG IS A TYPICAL COACHING/CLIENT RELATIONSHIP?
Coaching is a "forward moving" process, with specific goals and results. The process can range anywhere from 3 to 12 months depending on the program and frequency of sessions. New clients are suggested to start with a 3 month package that meets each week. Sessions are 50 minutes each and I am accessible to you via email or text anytime.
